Miss Emma Rice Anderson

Today we welcomed our 3rd grandbaby. Introducing Miss Emma Rice Anderson - proud parents are our daughter, Anna and her husband Larry. Emma also is blessed with a big brother, Ethan. She was born today 11:33 a.m. weighing 8lbs. 2 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. She's gorgeous and we are so blessed!!

Introducing Miss Aven Caroline Smith! Born July 15, 2009 at 8:29p.m. in Louisville, Kentucky. Aven weighed 6lbs. 5 oz. and she was 20 inches long. Proud parents, our son, Brandon and his wife, Ashley.

Valentine's Day Fun

Honey and Pop had the privilege of babysitting Ethan on Valentine's Day giving his parents an opportunity to have a date. He continues to be so much fun and delights us with his incredible vocabulary. This guy will talk your ears off and keep you smiling. He took advantage of a fading day to try out a new box of side-walk chalk. Due to the dark closing in on us, he only had time to just try out each color to see how it looked. I'm sure that now that he knows, he'll formulate a wonderful picture in his mind and draw it out for us the next time he comes. (= We gave him a construction workers set as a little gift and he loved it. He enjoys tools and tries to fix all kinds of things (even if they don't need fixing). He is a good helper. (=

Just catching up....

Here are just a few pictures of some recent events. I have been behind in my blogging here lately. I am now editing my original post due to this site rearranging my pictures for me. I had planned that Brandon and Ashley's picture would be first since this would put the pictures in order but well, that's not the way they were published. So, anyway, the first picture is, of course, a shot of Ethan that I took just yesterday while he was here to play. What a cutie! AND he is soooo much fun!! Next is a picture of the family that was taken the day after Christmas. Normally I send out Christmas cards with a current picture of us enclosed but this year that wasn't possible. As most of you probably know by now we will add two little ones this year. Brandon & Ashley somewhere around July 24 and Anna & Larry somewhere around August 7. Lastly is a picture taken right after Brandon's graduation from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. We are so very proud of our family!

LosLocos

This morning Stuart did LosLocos at Lakeland, TN. He ran 2 miles, biked 15 miles and finished up by running 2 more miles. He came in first in his age group (20-25 yr.olds)! Great Job Stuart!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN!!!!

Ethan is officially a TWO year old!! Oh my goodness - time is just flying. He is growing up so fast. His vocabulary is incredible which makes for fun conversations. It is wonderful to hear what is on his mind. He is so entertaining! The first picture is pretty obvious, he and his Mom are beginning to open some presents. The second picture is his car that Honey and Pop gave him. It is a Power Wheels and he loves driving it. And of course it wouldn't be complete without a shot of him and his birthday cake. We were in the middle of singing "Happy Birthday" when this picture was made. He sang along with us and knew just what to do when we were finished with our song. He promptly blew out his candles. And we all cheered!!!
