Another First!!

Well, Pop and Honey were in hog heaven last night. Ethan spent the night with us for the first time. We had a ball. This morning after breakfast we took him to his favorite place - outside! This little boy loves to be outside more than anyone I have ever known and his Uncle Stuart was the only other person I have ever known to love to be outside anymore than Ethan. First he enjoyed playing with a big Tonka truck - really it was too big for him to play with much but he loved sitting in it and he won't be able to that very much longer. Pop sat him on the side of the pool and let him splash and splash then they decided to get in a play a while. Ethan loves to play in water - so when he decided he had enough pool he enjoyed playing in a little trickle of water from the water hose. I think he played in that longer than he was in the pool - he thought that was big fun. So did we!!

Cake Time......

What would be a first birthday without some shots of the honoree enjoying his very first birthday cake. His Mom had a big Curious George cake but Ethan had his very own little cake. He wasn't sure at first how to get into it but as you can see - he figured it out and well....... the rest is history.

Party !!!

Ethan had so much fun at his first birthday party. He chose a Curious George theme - yes, he chose it. His Mom took him to the party store and showed him different plates and the reaction for Curious George left no doubt that was what he wanted. His Mom says George and Ethan have "kindred spirits". Hummmm...... I don't know about that but it sure was a wonderful party. This first picture is of Ethan in a gift from Honey and Pop. Ethan's Uncle Brandon was given one just like it when he was about the same age. He wasn't sure he wanted to get out of it even to open other gifts - he loved it. Then there are some shots of the family just having a good time celebrating Ethan's first birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN!!!!

I hardly know what to say that hasn't already been said - Pop and I are so completely blessed to have this incredible little guy in our lives. One year ago today this precious one marched right into the middle of our hearts and we haven't been the same since. Ethan is so full of life and love. He is enjoying walking as he holds a hand but hasn't decided to venture those steps alone just yet - but any day now he will take off running. He has eight teeth, beautiful blue eyes, gorgeous blonde hair that curls up on the ends in the back if he gets too hot or if it gets alittle wet. Tonight the family will be at his house for a celebration and hopefully I will get some good pictures to post tomorrow.

Oh my goodness - tomorrow Ethan will be one year old! Pop and Honey can hardly believe it but as the old saying goes (and I think I have used it more than once on this blog site) "time flies when you are having fun". And believe me, we have had ourselves a ball. Tomorrow I will be taking 12 month pictures as well as some pictures of his first birthday party. So, until then, I wanted to post a couple of pictures that Pop wanted on the site - these pictures are very precious to Ethan's Honey.
